Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).

Product configuration. We store the settings you choose: your default target countries, discovery filters, and any custom AI niche-verification prompt you write.

Optional API key. If you choose to supply your own Groq API key instead of using our shared default, we store it so we can use it for your AI requests. You can remove it any time from Settings.

Usage data — discovery runs. Every discovery run you start is logged: the keywords and filters you used, when it ran, and its results (matched channels, with the public subscriber/view counts and AI match reasoning that led to the match).

Usage data — keyword discovery. When you use Keyword Discovery (describe a niche, paste a URL, or enter seed keywords), we log the input you provided and the AI's suggested keywords, along with the keywords you ultimately chose to use. This helps us support the feature and improve it over time.

Public YouTube data. To do its job, Influvine looks up publicly available YouTube channel and video metadata (channel name, subscriber count, average views, upload dates, video titles) via the official YouTube Data API. This is public information about YouTube creators, not about you — we cache it briefly (see Section 4) so repeat runs don't re-check the same channel.

Creator contact emails. Where a creator has published a contact email in their own channel or video description, we surface it as part of your results. For channels based in the EU/EEA/UK, we only surface business-domain emails — we don't display personal addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) found for creators in those regions, since personal email addresses carry stricter handling requirements under GDPR.

Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, handles your payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We keep a reference ID linking your account to your Lemon Squeezy subscription so we can manage your plan.

Product analytics. We log basic usage events — signups, logins, discovery runs started, and CSV exports — each tied to your account, to understand how the product is used in aggregate. We also log anonymous page-view counts for some marketing pages (e.g. our Done-For-You page); these aren't tied to your account or an individual visitor profile.

Session cookie. We use a single, essential, first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. See our cookie notice below for details.

2. How we use it

• To run the Service: authenticate you, run discovery searches on your behalf, apply your filters, and generate AI-assisted keyword suggestions and niche-fit verdicts.
• To manage billing and enforce plan limits (like monthly discovery-run allowances).
• To provide support when you contact us.
• To maintain and improve the Service, including understanding which features are used and diagnosing issues.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your account data or run history for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We share data with the third-party services that make Influvine work, and only as needed for them to perform their function:

• Groq (AI inference) — receives your niche description/URL/seed keywords and candidate channel titles to generate keyword suggestions and niche-fit verdicts.
• Google / YouTube Data API — we query it for public channel and video data; we don't send it your account information.
• Lemon Squeezy (payments) — receives what's needed to process your subscription; they act as merchant of record for these transactions.
• Render (application hosting) and Neon (database hosting) — infrastructure providers that store and run the Service on our behalf.

We don't sell or rent your data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. How long we keep it

Account information and run history are kept for as long as your account is active, so you can revisit past runs and results.

Cached public channel data (used to avoid re-checking the same channel across runs) is automatically deleted after 30 days, consistent with YouTube API data-retention requirements.

If you delete your account (see Section 7), we delete your account record, settings, run history, and cached results.

5. Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Access to the underlying database and infrastructure is restricted to the people operating the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Cookies

We use one cookie: a first-party, essential session cookie that keeps you logged in. It's strictly necessary for the Service to function, so it's set automatically and doesn't require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules. We don't use advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics cookies, and we don't run cross-site tracking of any kind.

If that ever changes (for example, if we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future), we'll update this section and show a consent banner before setting any non-essential cookie.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your settings (countries, filters, niche prompt, Groq key) at any time from within the app. You can permanently delete your own account and all associated data — runs, matches, cached results, and settings — any time from Settings → "Delete my account." No need to email us for this.

For anything else — questions, data access/correction requests, or help with deletion — email privacy@influvine.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA (for example, to receive a copy of your data or object to certain processing). Contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate applicable requests.

8. Children's privacy

Influvine isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you.
