How we built this list
Every channel here was pulled from the YouTube Data API in October 2026. We kept channels with a US channel country where one is listed (a few creators leave it blank and are included because they are widely known as US-based), at least one upload in recent months, and a clear fit with the topic. Subscriber counts are as reported by YouTube. Average views is the mean view count of a channel's most recent long-form videos, ignoring anything posted in the last seven days so brand-new uploads do not drag the number down. For channels that publish mostly Shorts, we fall back to all recent videos, so their averages read lower. Views per subscriber divides average views by subscribers. It is a quick signal of how much of the audience actually shows up, not a true engagement rate, and it says nothing about audience location or demographics. Confirm those with the creator before you sign a deal.
How to choose a health influencer for your brand
- Match credentials to claims. A physician or registered dietitian carries more weight for medical or nutrition topics than a general lifestyle creator. Make sure the person speaking has the expertise your message needs.
- Vet the content. Review recent videos for accuracy and tone. Health audiences notice fads, and a partner who spreads misinformation can hurt your brand.
- Keep claims substantiated. Health claims for products need evidence. Give creators clear, approved language and avoid promising cures or outcomes.
- Pick the sub-niche. Mental health, gut health, women's health, longevity, nutrition and healthcare policy each draw different audiences. Choose the one that matches your product.
- Disclose every partnership. Make sure creators clearly label paid partnerships using YouTube's tools and in the video itself.
Health insurance and healthcare policy creators
If you work in health insurance, benefits or healthcare services, general wellness channels are only part of the picture. Healthcare Triage (447K subscribers) explains health policy, research and the US healthcare system, which makes it a natural fit for education on coverage and costs. Doctors who explain how care works in practice, such as Doctor Mike, also reach large audiences that are curious about the system. Insurance and benefits brands usually get better results from clear, educational content than from hard promotion, and compliance review is essential before anything goes live.
Conclusion
The top health influencers in the USA include physicians, dietitians, longevity researchers and wellness educators, and the right partner depends on your product, your claims and the trust your audience needs. Credentials, accuracy and honest disclosure matter as much as reach. A well-matched creator with 48.1K views per video can build far more credibility than a bigger channel that is a poor fit.

Frequently asked questions
Who are the top health influencers in the USA?
By subscribers, the largest health creators on this list are Doctor Mike and Dr. Eric Berg, followed by Andrew Huberman, Dr. Sten Ekberg and Dr Pal. Doctor Mike leads the table with 15.1M subscribers.
What makes someone a health influencer?
A health influencer builds an audience around medicine, nutrition, mental health or wellness. Many are licensed professionals, such as physicians and dietitians, who explain topics in plain language.
How do I find health influencers for my brand?
Choose the sub-niche, then compare credentials, subscribers, average views and recent activity. Influvine lets you search YouTube creators by niche so you can build a shortlist quickly.
Are there influencers who cover health insurance?
Yes, though it is a narrower topic. Healthcare Triage covers the US healthcare system and policy, and many doctors explain how care and costs work. For insurance brands, education-first partnerships with these creators tend to work best.
Do health influencers have to disclose sponsorships?
Yes. The FTC expects clear disclosure of paid or gifted partnerships, and health claims must be truthful and supported. Ask every creator to label sponsored content clearly.
Are smaller health creators worth working with?
Often. Channels like Dr. Will Bulsiewicz or Mom Nutritionist reach focused audiences, and a sub-niche creator can drive more relevant results than a mega channel for products like probiotics or family nutrition.
