How we built this list

Every channel here was pulled from the YouTube Data API in October 2026. We kept channels with a US channel country where one is listed (a few creators leave it blank and are included because they are widely known as US-based), at least one upload in recent months, and a clear fit with the topic. Subscriber counts are as reported by YouTube. Average views is the mean view count of a channel's most recent long-form videos, ignoring anything posted in the last seven days so brand-new uploads do not drag the number down. For channels that publish mostly Shorts, we fall back to all recent videos, so their averages read lower. Views per subscriber divides average views by subscribers. It is a quick signal of how much of the audience actually shows up, not a true engagement rate, and it says nothing about audience location or demographics. Confirm those with the creator before you sign a deal. Views per subscriber above 100% mean recent videos reached more people than the channel has subscribers, usually thanks to viral hits.

How to pick the right music influencer for your brand

  • Match the instrument or topic. Guitar, piano, drums, vocals, production and reviews reach different buyers. Pick the creator whose viewers use your product.
  • Use educators for gear and courses. Teaching channels build trust and suit instruments, software, apps and learning platforms.
  • Check the skill level. Beginner channels suit starter gear and apps. Advanced channels suit pro audio and software.
  • Consider reviewers for discovery. Review and reaction channels work for music, merchandise and streaming launches.
  • Watch Shorts-heavy channels. Several channels publish mostly Shorts, so long-form averages look low. Ask for full audience data.

Conclusion

The top music influencers in the USA include guitar and piano teachers, vocal coaches, theory educators, producers and reviewers. The right partner is the one whose audience already plays, sings or listens the way your product supports. A teacher averaging 61.6K views with a loyal audience can be more valuable than a mass-entertainment channel.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the top music influencers in the USA?

By YouTube subscribers, the largest on this list are Cheryl Porter Vocal Coach (13.2M), Rick Beato, Marty Music, theneedledrop and Rob Scallon. For piano and drums, look at HDpiano, Drum Beats Online and Zach Evans.

How do I find music influencers for my brand?

Choose the instrument or topic that fits your product, such as guitar, piano, vocals or production. Compare creators by subscribers, average views and recent activity. Influvine lets you search YouTube creators by niche so you can shortlist quickly.

Which music creators are best for instrument and gear brands?

Look at guitar and piano teachers such as Marty Music, swiftlessons and HDpiano, and producers such as Alex Rome and badhabit.

Are smaller music creators worth it?

Yes. Teachers such as Lauren Bateman or Mike Johnston reach engaged learners and can be an affordable way to promote music products.

Do music influencers have to disclose sponsorships?

Yes. The FTC expects clear disclosure of paid or gifted partnerships. Ask every creator to label sponsored content in the video and use YouTube's paid promotion label.

Do music influencers include artists?

This list focuses on educators, reviewers and music-focused creators rather than recording artists, since they are easier to partner with for products and courses.
