How we built this list
Every channel here was pulled from the YouTube Data API in October 2026. We kept channels with a US channel country where one is listed (a few creators leave it blank and are included because they are widely known as US-based), at least one upload in recent months, and a clear fit with the topic. Subscriber counts are as reported by YouTube. Average views is the mean view count of a channel's most recent long-form videos, ignoring anything posted in the last seven days so brand-new uploads do not drag the number down. For channels that publish mostly Shorts, we fall back to all recent videos, so their averages read lower. Views per subscriber divides average views by subscribers. It is a quick signal of how much of the audience actually shows up, not a true engagement rate, and it says nothing about audience location or demographics. Confirm those with the creator before you sign a deal. Views per subscriber above 100% mean recent videos reached more people than the channel has subscribers, usually thanks to viral hits.
How to pick the right sports influencer for your brand
- Match the sport. Golf, basketball, football and baseball audiences are very different. Pick creators whose viewers play or watch your sport.
- Separate entertainment from analysis. Challenge channels deliver huge reach, while analysis channels drive deeper loyalty and purchase intent.
- Think about the season. Plan campaigns around the season, playoffs and major events.
- Check equipment fit. Golf and training creators are strong for gear. Commentary channels fit media, apps and lifestyle brands.
- Keep it responsible. Sports audiences include minors. Follow advertising rules, especially for betting or alcohol products.
Conclusion
The top sports influencers in the USA span trick-shot stars, golf entertainers, basketball analysts and football breakdown creators. The right partner is the one whose audience already follows your sport and your product category. A creator averaging 222K views with an engaged audience can beat a bigger channel that rarely covers your sport.
To build your shortlist faster, Influvine helps you discover YouTube creators by niche and size, with subscriber and view data in one place.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the top sports influencers in the USA?
By YouTube subscribers, the largest on this list are Dude Perfect (62.8M), Jomboy Media, Good Good, Grant Horvat Golf and The Pivot Podcast. For basketball analysis, look at BBALLBREAKDOWN, Thinking Basketball and Kenny For Real.
How do I find sports influencers for my brand?
Choose the sport and the type of content first, such as golf, basketball or football analysis. Compare creators by subscribers, average views and recent activity. Influvine lets you search YouTube creators by niche so you can shortlist quickly.
Are golf creators good for brands?
Yes. YouTube golf is very active, with channels like Good Good, Bob Does Sports and Bryan Bros Golf showing equipment and apparel in action.
Are smaller sports creators worth it?
Often. Creators such as The QB School or NFL Stock Exchange reach focused audiences and can be cost-effective for niche products.
Do sports influencers have to disclose sponsorships?
Yes. The FTC expects clear disclosure of paid or gifted partnerships. Ask every creator to label sponsored content in the video and use YouTube's paid promotion label.
Why does this list skip leagues and teams?
We focus on creators rather than official league, team or media brand channels, because creators are easier to partner with directly.
